Clay Trinket Plates
Activity Description: In this activity, we had to make a clay trinket plate. We had to include something that reflected us, use 3 or more colors when painting, an added piece, and a subtractive piece in our trinket plate. For my 3 colors I used blue, 2 shades of green, and yellow. My subtractive parts of my plate are the shoreline and the waves. My added part is trees. This reflected me because home is where the heart is and my heart and home are both located in the Black Hills! I made a replica of my version of lake Pactola, one of my favorite places in the Black Hills.
Extension Activity: For an extension activity I think it would be fun to create a tile (or coaster) that has a symbol of a student. It would require the same criteria, it would just be a tile instead of a trinket plate!
