Picasso
Activity Description: This assignment was supposed to be a similar piece to Picasso's Starry Night artwork. We had to do many layers! We started with a light or dark piece of construction paper and then began gluing tissue paper onto it to create a sky. Next, we cut out another piece of construction paper to create a silhouette. Then we glued the silhouette on and had to use color on top of our art piece to create movement. Overall, I thought this project was very fun!
Extension Activity: For an extension activity off of this I would have my students write a story that takes place at/on the landscape that they made. I think this would be a good art lesson to integrate into English. The story would have to have character, a setting, and a beginning, middle, and end! These projects combined would create a really fun expressions project!
