Dots Activity
Activity Discription: In this project, we took circle objects like a paper coffee filter and used different kinds of water or oil-based colors, and created a circle art piece. We also had the option to make another circle project so I took a piece of paper and drew circles all over it with an oil-based color and then colored my circles in to make them solid with a water-based color so that my oil-based circles remained apparent!
Extention Activity: I personally really liked playing with the different oil and water-based colors and think that it would be really fun to let my students play with this same factor! The dots were just an added part that made it fun! I might do an assignment where my students have to create an abstract piece of art that uses one single shape (a shape of their choice!) and use at least 2 water-based colors and 2 oil-based colors and experiment with the two different color bases mixing!
