Dots Activity

Image
Activity Discription:  In this project, we took circle objects like a paper coffee filter and used different kinds of water or oil-based colors, and created a circle art piece. We also had the option to make another circle project so I took a piece of paper and drew circles all over it with an oil-based color and then colored my circles in to make them solid with a water-based color so that my oil-based circles remained apparent!   Extention Activity: I personally really liked playing with the different oil and water-based colors and think that it would be really fun to let my students play with this same factor! The dots were just an added part that made it fun! I might do an assignment where my students have to create an abstract piece of art that uses one single shape (a shape of their choice!) and use at least 2 water-based colors and 2 oil-based colors and experiment with the two different color bases mixing!

Elements and Principles of Design

Lines Contrasting Colors Unity Texture Pattern We were asked to take pictures of all the elements and principles of designs. I thought this assignment was really fun because it was like a scavenger hunt trying to find ways to best represent these principles and elements! These are my 5 principles and/or elements that I chose to pick because I liked these photos the most!
